The ascent to the summit at arcalis is located in Andorra. Located a few kilometres from the ski resort at the summit is a large O sculpture representing Ordino.
In the 2016 Tour de France on stage 9 Tom Dumoulin attacked close to the bottom of the Arcalis climb around 12km from the finish. Torrential rain came down in the later part of the climb but Dumoulin managed to stay away and win the stage. The favourites attacked each other behind and raced hard in the rain.
The arcalis climb was also used in the 2009 Tour de France.
