Who is Didi the Devil?

Didi Senft is a cycling super fan from Germany. Didi has been going to races since his first Tour de France in 1993. Didi got the idea for the Devil costume and name from a journalist who described the Flamme rouge, the red kite marker that signifies 1km to go in races, as the devils flag. This inspired Didi to invent his alter ego.

Didi's costume is normally black and red but for the Giro d'Italia it has turned to pink and for the Tour de France in 2013, the 100th edition of the race, it became all yellow. Didi has his own sponsors and was sponsored by the ASO, the organisation that owns and runs many races including the Tour de France, La Vuelta and the Criterium du Dauphine amongst others.

Didi makes fantastic creations including the world's largest bicycle verified by the Guiness Book of Records, metal sculptures including the Eiffel Tower made of metal and cycling bottles and of course, the worlds largest rideable guitar!
