After the Rapha and Palace Giro d'Italia special edition 2020 collabortion kit and the use of all of illustrator's tools at the same time comes the innovative most compliant kit concept for the EF Education Nippo 2021 version of the team's kit. Rapha have stuck with the now established pink and dark blue colour palette. The jersey is pink but the design is the style of a blue print with all the names and design details framed, measured and spaced. The sponsors names and logos are rendered in the dark blue on the pink background. The jersey design contains designer notes that look hand written. New sponsor Nippo is given a place on the right sleeve and a smaller mention on the upper chest of the jersey while Rapha maintains its band concept with a white band on the left sleeve and their name rendered in dark blue.
The bibshorts are dark blue with the sponsors rendered in white on the dark blue with EF getting the prominent spot on the back of the bibshorts. The upper strapped half of the bibshorts are pink with handwritten phrases all over the straps and the back of the bibshorts.
The bikes, as in recent previous years mirror the pink and blue colour palette with the abstract curved zig zag pattern being replicated once again.
This jersey will not be to everyone's taste but you cannot fault the designer(s) for an original take on the cycling jersey design and also for a little bit of playful cheekiness.
