About the design
The addition of the Alpecin sponsor has made the biggest difference to the 2017 Katusha Alpecin kit. In 2016 the large Katusha K was front and back whereas the 2017 kit edition has the Katusha K on the back only. The Alpecin logo dominates the chest of the jersey and their red branding colour is used in the bottom of the jersey. The colour palette is red, burgundy and white. The bike sponsor canyon remains on the light blue bands on the jersey sleeves and the bibshorts.
The colour palette is very rich and strong and is carried throughout all of the kit. The two shades of red compliment each other very well to create a rich blend. The sponsores are still rendered in white on the shades of red with the exception being Canyon rendered in black on white.
A 2017 Tour de France version of the kit was created with a white shoulder panel on the upper part of the jersey both front and back. The Alpecin red is replaced by the burgundy colour in this special edition of the kit leaving the Alpecin red in the Alpecin logo which makes the Alpecin logo stand out.
