About the design

Most of the aspects of the design of the Movistar kit remained as is for the 2016 season. The colour palette remained as dark blue, green and white. The location of the sponsors' names and logos remained the same with these elements being rendered in white on the dark blue background.

The main changes for this season were that the Movistar green M was much bigger on the front of the jersey and slightly bigger on the back of the jersey. As a result of this the Movistar name was moved closer to the bottom of the jersey but the name was still rendered in multiple locations on the kit.

A second design detail that was added this season was the addition of white bands around the sleeves and a white back jersey pocket. The Endura name and logo was rendered in blue on the rear white pocket this season as well as appearing on the front upper chest along with the bike sponsor Canyon's name with its itallic text and intentionally cut off lettering.

A difficult design to work with as the look and colour palette have been firmly established. This gives designers tight constraints with what can be changed. The addition of the white details was good but maybe better using the green colour from the Movistar M?
