About the design

The 2016 version of the kit differed from the previous versions by removing the solid colour panels that acted as a background for the main sponsors' names. The argyle pattern now covers the entire front and back of the jersey with diamonds of a darker shade of green being being reinstated. The solid colour panel that stretched from one sleeve, across the shoulders and down the other sleeve was also kept. The bibshorts retained the green bands around the ends of the legs. Cannondale remained as the main sponsor which meant the colour palette remained lime green and black.

For the most part, logo and sponsor name locations remained the same with a larger Cannondale C logo and the name now dominating the back of the jersey also.

From the 2016 Tour de France onwards the kit was updated to promote the new sponsor Drapac. The design of the kit was updated to incorporate not only green but also red bands around the legs of the bibshorts. The Drapac name was added to the front and back of the kit rendered in red lettering, taking second billing to the Cannondale name.
