About the Design

Once again for the 2015 Team Sky kit understatement was the key. The kit has been largely kept the same as previous versions. The colour palette remains the same which is no bad thing as their brand is well and truly established.

The biggest design innovation for this season was the introduction of stripes on the back of the jersey running up to but not including the back pocket. These subtle stripes were also carried through into the blue training kit. A thin blue band of colour was also added around the collar of the jersey.

The blue bands of colour were kept on one sleeve and one leg of the jersey and bibshorts.

Rapha also produced a version of the kit to mark the team's victory in the Tour de France and Chris Froome's overall win in the General Classification. The kit was a variation on the race kit substituting yellow for blue. The riders names were added to bottom of the yellow line on the back of the jersey. This kit was dubbed kit du Triomphe and as a result it had a small Arc du Triomphe on the bottom of the front of the jersey along with a French flag to honour the host country
