About the design

The 2015 season brought a white jersey base to the Katusha cycling team. The shoulders and upper torso of the jersey are white. This was offset by a radical design change for this season. The bottom third of the jersey was solid red with the middle of the jersey and sleeves having coloured sweeping geometric shapes of light blue, red, dark blue and yellow. The solid red at the bottom of the jersey cleverly has a skyline of roofs and a central tower coming from the top of this panel and stretching into the middle white part of the jersey. This is also mirrored on the back of the jersey.

These design features, although innovative and going in an interesting new direction, do make the jersey design seem a little busy. The canyon black bands are kept on the collar, sleeve ends and leg ends on the bibshorts.

The bibshorts are kept red with a white panel going up one side of the bibshorts, the rear and down the other side of the bibshorts.

An interesting design introducing many new design concepts but the question of whether they work or not is in the eye of the beholder.
