About the design

The Team Europcar kit for 2014 stayed with the Europcar branding colour palette of dark green, light green and yellow. Black or white depending on the background were used to render the sponsor and team names. The kit is largely dark green with sweeping shapes of lighter greens gradient and black on the front and back sides of the jersey framing the main torso section. The solid black panels are used on the collar, the sleeve ends and the side panels with sponsors rendered on these sections in white. The Europcar name and branding stretches across the upper chest of the jersey breaking up the large torso panel of darker green and is the same on the back of the jersey.

Other sponsors are present on the upper chest of the front of the jersey with the Vendee Department, Louis Garneau and the Harmonie Mutuelle logos bringing small touches of red and orange to the colour palette.

The bibshorts were mostly black with green bands on the leg ends with the Colnago and Louis Garneau logos rendered in white. The Europcar name also dominates the sides of the bibshorts.

The Japanese champion version of the kit kept the side panels and position of the chest Europcar branding the same but replaced the dark green torso and shoulders section with white and cleverly added a large red circle below the Europcar name to recreate the japanese flag. A nice design touch on this versin of the kit was to add the red colouring to the collar and sleeve ends.
